Hooray for Katherine!
She graduated from Provo High.

Senior Party:

Sometime after graduation they all head back to Provo High for an all night party (they sold over 250 tickets, 80 that night). Somehow I got suckered (no surprise!) into helping to take pictures for a slide show that was to be presented around 4:30 A.M. Chris and I went around 11:p.m. When we got there the power in the school was out. Of course we assume that some student must of pulled some prank because everywhere else had their lights on, including the rec center which is on the school property. We had passed our friend on the way to the school and she said that she was going home to get lighting equipment. So they were lighting the commons with lights using generators that were stationed outside so that the kids could at least come in and eat. We weren't there too much longer before the lights actually came on for good.

The low down - there was some wire that had fritzed under the school. This is not surprising, super old wire, under a super old school!!! The power company sends someone out. Someone says that the problem has been identified, it will take hours to fix, but the good news is that you can move the party to Dixon Middle School (they couldn't do it at the rec center because they are not allowed to have food in the rooms over there). Luckily, there were moms that wouldn't stand for that. One saying, "I'd sooner move the party to the parking lot then over to Dixon." So the fire marshall came and stayed while the lights were out so that the students could come inside and eat.

Back to the wire gone bad ... someone ends up calling the mayor to see what could be done about this predicament. He talked with the power company told them to make a patch for tonight and come tomorrow to really fix the problem. What do you know ... the power was on in 15 minutes.

I was able to make a bunch of pictures and Chris and I left around 1:15 a.m. I have no idea if the slide show even panned out.

P.S. So far, the only prank I have heard is that someone let loose a box of crickets some time after we left :)

Jeanne hung out to about 3:30, she and another Mother decieded to wait till their kids got there before leaving. Turns out they went to see "Iron Man" before going to the graduation party.

How was it that you had to do duty since Keyann won't be at the party for two years?

My neighbor asked me to help her out with taking pictures. I'm not very good at saying no!
