{Hawaii Day 8}

Today is our last day in Hawaii. We spent the day with our relatives. We went to Ala Moana Beach Park for Jenee's baby shower. It poured on us for a little while, but they had a tent set up and everything. We ate, played games, hung out on the beach, and talked. Afterwards Hazel, Amber, Michelle, Dee, Aaron, Annie and I went to the movies. We were just trying to kill sometime before they took us to the airport. Our rental car had to be back at noon, but our flight didn't leave until 10:p.m. So they were nice enough to cart us and our stuff around!

Here we are at the airport. It was really sad to come home. Yes, I missed my husband and my kids, but I really loved being in Hawaii and I miss all my new found relatives!!!

{Hawaii Day 7}

Today I went to the Punchbowl Crater. It was so peaceful. It was so pretty also. The views up here are amazing.

We took a drive to the Pali Lookout at the Nuuanu Pali State Park.

We went to Kaiwi Scenic Shoreline and hiked to Makapuu Point and saw the lighthouse. What a stark contrast to the Pali Lookout. Here there is dry brush and cactus.

Then we hung out on Sandy Beach.

At night we met up with some of our cousins - Dee & Hazel.

{Hawaii Day 6}

Today we surfed! That was so great. I was terrible at it, but I still enjoyed it. The rush you get when you catch a wave is incredible! After surfing we went to the Iolani Palace. This is the only official palace in the United States.
This is the court house across the street from the palace.

Then we went to Hanauma Bay to go snorkeling. Swimming with the fish is crazy! We couldn't go out of the first section of the bay because the waters were too treacherous. We were a little disappointed that we didn't see a sea turtle, some people did. Oh well!

Next we went to the Sea Life Park.

What an exhausting day!!!

{Hawaii Day 5}

Today we went to Pearl Harbor.

We climbed on the U.S.S. Bowfin (submarine). This was at the harbor.

We went to the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial. You have to watch a movie first and then take a boat over to the memorial.
They say that the U.S.S. Arizona still leaks 2 quarts of oil a day (black tears).

Next, we were off to Ford Island. You have to take a shuttle over. While there we climbed on the U.S.S. Missouri.

Then we headed over to the Pacific Aviation Museum. This is the tower outside the hanger that was converted into the museum.

That evening we went to the beach and rode the trolley to the Ala Moana Shopping Center.
