(No, this is not the costume. I can't believe I didn't get a picture of her the night of!)

The Stadium of Fire was the hottest show in town this year. By some marketing miracle they were able to schedule Miley Cyrus, better known as Hannah Montana. We weren't going to have Sam dance in the Stadium of Fire this year because she doesn't really get to do any 4th of July things with us. After we found out that Miley was going to be there we decided to let her go. Chris even tried to get us tickets so that Ally could see her also. He was inque to get them, but somehow got booted out of the system at the last minute, and as we all know tickets were sold out in a matter of minutes. Oh well! So they have been having practices for a month now in their studio. Then on Wednesday they had a practice, in the BYU parking lot, from 6-9:p.m. Then on Thursday she had to be at the stadium at 8:15 a.m. - 6:15 p.m. (the thermometer in the stadium registered over 110 degrees) and back again at 7:30 p.m. - 10:p.m. for the dress rehearsal. No, Miley Cyrus did not show up to the dress rehearsal. The last practice was on the 4th at 6:30 a.m. - noon. Then back for the show at 6:30 p.m.

If she didn't love it so much there is no way that we would do this. The worst part is trying to park, wait, and find your daughter. I wish her dance teacher and the few parents, who are allowed to help, would just load all the girls in their cars and drive to a more convenient place for us to get our girls. That way they could call us as they are leaving and we could be there in time. That's the other thing, the practices never get over when they say they are suppose to. I've probably spent a couple of hours the last few days just waiting as they go overtime! For one day we weren't even allowed to park in the parking lot right there at the stadium. And there are hundreds of people there to pick their girls up. The things we do for our kids!!!

Sam's initial reaction to how it went was, "Well, Miley Cyrus doesn't lipsync at all." I thought she was being facetious, but she wasn't. Sam said that she sounded different and that she was out of breath a lot. She also thought that the Blue Man Group was funny. That's who I would of liked to of seen.

I'm impressed. Her dance was good. My mom got us tickets because she works for one of the vice presidents at BYU. Driving and parking was a nightmare. I had a headache for about three days after.
